Darqawi said that the hat doesn't fall on anyone's head except one who doesn't want it, but I want all the khayr and all that entails qurb to Allah to come my way, so should I change this?¶
Would you explain 'non-thetic consciousness' please? Along with emotions, can it also be to focus on Allah simply via awareness of His presence? And within salah, is it okay to focus on Allah via non-thetic consciousness, or is it better to focus on the words’ meanings?¶
Would it be good for English-speaking Muslims to make dua out loud for people, as Muslims do in other languages like Arabic or Urdu? Receiving such duas from elders after doing khidma provides motivation and inspires hope. Or must duas be done silently always?¶
What would you recommend someone to do if they found out their child had a girlfriend/boyfriend? Those around us when we were younger would get an extreme telling off that could get physical and this was enough of a warning for us! But would this approach work with this generation?¶
