I sometimes get invited outside of the Hayy for mawlids. If another sheikh of tarbiya happens to attend the same one, there may be a short hadra and dhikr whereupon I step out. Is this fine?¶
Practically how does one prefer your brother to yourself and your brother’s need before your own need? In money matters does this imply one gives to whomever asks?¶
If one’s nafs is inclined towards something, like writing for example, should one pursue it by writing to help the plight of the Muslims or writing to do good deeds? When would such a pursuit become an ego trip?¶
If we have nothing but the current moment and we should not ponder on the past or future, how can we disassociate that from hope for the future from Allah?¶
