Is culture and language important? If so, how do we hold on to them when intercultural marriages, the internet, and global travel have deluded their meaning and diminished their importance?¶
For those following the way of ‘azima in a ruling, how should we respond to people quoting the hadith in which the Prophet ﷺ would choose the easier between two matters, as long as it was not sinful to do so?¶
Some parents believe that it is necessary to expose children to the world, including discussing some of its un-Islamic realities. Other parents incline towards protecting children at least until they are married. [What do you advise?]¶
How do you love others for the sake of Allah? What does this mean and how does one ensure they are loved for His sake rather than their own attachments e.g. children, spouse, etc.?¶
How do we reconcile, here in the Hayy, working on our suluk and our responsibilities to our children and families. What rights do they have and how do we ensure getting the balance right?¶
