In my country, there are certain people that claim to know about an individual’s personality or a couple’s likelihood of a good marriage just by having the mere date and birth of a person. They also advise people to change their name in case they think it doesn’t suit them. Islamically, is it permissible to believe these people or does it fall under shirk?¶
In the winter months in the north, fajr enters and my family starts their day. I have small children and hardly a quiet moment during the day. Can the Wird al-‘Amm be done before the fajr prayer?¶
